POSITION: Cluster Communication Lead
PROGRAM: Black Creek Humber Summit Cluster
REPORTS TO: Executive Director, Northwood Neighbourhood Services
TIME COMMITMENT: 15 hours a week until December 31, 2020
RATE: $25 – $30/hour, depending on qualifications
PURPOSE
The Cluster Communication Lead work will focus on ensuring that Black Creek Humber Summit Cluster partners, The City of Toronto, United Way Greater Toronto (lead partners), and non-profit organizations operating their programming in that Black Creek Humber Summit areas, are kept informed with the timely distribution of essential information and support with the data collection of immediate resources/ supports needed by partners.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
- Works with coordinators, agencies and sub-groups across the cluster to develop strategies and solutions for improvement of communications
- Update Available Services Sheet (update what is available/programs being offered, location of services)
- Collect relevant resources and share with agency partners
- Update Black Creek Humber Summer google drive with resources
- Update contact list and ensure all partners are receiving all information
- Send out updated contact list/available services weekly if any changes are made
- Capture notes during various meeting to ensure actions are documented: Cluster weekly calls, Youth Employment Sub Committee Calls, Infrastructure, Funding Sub Committee Calls etc.
- Support the development and distribution of meeting agendas
- Work with Lead Coordinator individually and/or collaborates with relevant stakeholders to ensure synergy, information flow and accuracy across the cluster
- Actively works and/or assists on content-related tasks and projects across the cluster
- Support with the generation of information with any report needed for the Black Creek Humber Summit Cluster
- Work remotely
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Business Administration, communication, Social Sciences or related field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collect and present data in a creative way using social media and other new technologies of information and communication
- Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills
- Up-to-date with technological development and opportunities.
